Tuesday: The Carneval

On Tuesday we went to school and we collaborated with the French students to prepare powerpoints and documents about Reunion’s and our countries’ national and traditional buildings, people and traditions. It was an interesting expierence for all of us.

After the work we had lunch at the canteen and in the free time we had the opportunity to talk and spend time with the other students of the school.

We shared interesting stories between us. After lunch the Carneval started and everyone got into their costumes.

We had some free time to have a chat about our costumes and to dance and sing all together.

Then everyone was distributed into different classes where we voted for the best costume in the class. It was a lot of fun.

After the voting the main part of the Carneval started with the competition of the best costume. It was a really entertaining show and we liked it.

The juries judged the costumes and in the meantime we had lots of fun.

We danced and sang with the locals.

When the juries had made their decision, the winners were announced and called on to the stage to receive their awards.

In conclusion, it was a really nice, entertaining and exciting day for us.

The best part of the day was the Carneval, because we don’t have such shows in our schools. It would be lovely to expierence something similar again in the near future.
